SecureSets · Android app

Privacy policy

This notice explains what SecureSets stores on your device and what information is handled by the services the app uses.

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Who provides SecureSets?

SecureSets is provided by Lunava Software, operated by Thijs Zoontjes in the Netherlands (KVK 42195099). This notice covers the Android app distributed through Google Play. SecureSets has no sign-in account or workout-sync service.

This app notice is separate from analytics on the Lunava website. See Website privacy & analytics for the website.

Information stored on your device

SecureSets stores information you enter or create in the app, including routines, custom exercises, completed and unfinished workouts, sets, reps, weights, notes, training preferences, optional body profile details (weight, height and gender), and app preferences such as theme and units. The app also keeps a local copy of the purchase access status confirmed by Google Play.

Your body weight can be used on your device to show lift-to-body-weight ratios. Height and gender are stored with your profile but do not currently affect workout generation or strength calculations.

SecureSets does not send your routines, workout history, training preferences or body profile to its advertising, purchase-verification or AI-model providers.

Backups and sharing

Settings lets you export a JSON backup and choose where to save or share it. A backup can contain routines, custom exercises, session history, unfinished workout drafts, body profile details, training-block and progression settings, equipment profiles, theme and units. The app does not upload the file to a SecureSets server; the storage location or app you choose handles it under its own terms. Android device backups may also include app data if backup is enabled on your device.

Information handled by app services

Google AdMob and consent

SecureSets uses Google AdMob to show ads and Google's User Messaging Platform to present consent choices where available. Depending on your region, consent and device settings, Google may process information such as an IP address (which can indicate an approximate location), device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, app information, and performance or diagnostic signals to provide, measure and protect its advertising services. The app does not request device location permission. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety section for current provider and store details.

You can review available ad choices from Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices in supported app builds. Ads are disabled while SecureSets Pro is active or an ad-removal purchase is recognized.

Google Play purchases

Google Play processes payment and purchase information under Google's terms. SecureSets does not receive your payment-card details. To check whether an Android purchase is valid, the app sends the Google Play purchase token and product ID over HTTPS to SecureSets' purchase-verification service. The service uses them for the immediate check with Google Play and does not store purchase tokens in a database or application logs. Google Cloud may process technical request information, such as network address, request time and diagnostics, to run and secure the service. Purchase access is tied to your Google Play account, not a SecureSets account. See Google Cloud's Privacy Notice.

App updates

SecureSets uses Expo EAS Updates to check for and download app updates. Update requests may include app version and technical connection information. See Expo's Privacy Policy.

Optional on-device workout model

If you choose to download it, SecureSets gets the optional Qwen2.5 0.5B Instruct model from Hugging Face. Hugging Face may receive standard connection information needed to deliver the file. Your workout preferences are not included in that download request.

After installation, the model uses your selected goal, training days, equipment, session length and excluded workout splits on your device to create a plan. Your prompts and generated plans are not sent to Qwen or Hugging Face. The model is optional and can be removed from Settings. See Hugging Face's Privacy Policy and the Qwen model page.

Your choices and deleting data

  • Delete workout data: In SecureSets, open Settings → Your data → Delete training data. This removes routines, custom exercises, workout drafts, saved sessions and body profile details from this device. Your theme, units and Google Play purchases remain.
  • Back up or restore: Export or restore a JSON backup in Settings. Restoring replaces the training data on this device.
  • Ads: Use the available ad privacy choices in Settings. Active SecureSets Pro or a recognized ad-removal purchase turns off ads.
  • Purchases: Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play. Deleting local workout data or uninstalling SecureSets does not delete Google Play purchase records or cancel a subscription.

For information handled by Google, Expo or Hugging Face, use the privacy controls and contact options provided by those services.

You can contact us about personal data or privacy rights at any time. Workout data is stored on your device, so use the controls above to access, export or delete it. If you are in the Netherlands and remain concerned after contacting us, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Retention and security

Workout information remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Device backups and exported backup files may remain separately under the settings of the device, storage provider or app you chose.

SecureSets does not add a separate encryption layer to its local workout database. The security of data stored on the device depends on your device, operating system, lock and backup settings. Information sent to the online services described above uses their available service protections and privacy terms.

Children's privacy

SecureSets is not specifically designed for children. Advertising and consent behavior may depend on Google Play, your region and the choices available in the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice when SecureSets or its service providers change. The date at the top shows when this page was last revised.
